The Design Engineer II roles, will be part of a growing and talented team of engineers who will lead and provide support projects within New Product Engineering, Custom Engineering, and/or Sustaining Engineering.

The Design Engineer II will be responsible for design analysis and validation, product changes, creation of part models and prints, prototype build and validation testing. They will provide technical guidance to project teams. Other responsibilities include:


  • Full component engineering responsibility
  • Oversee product documentation (drawings and specifications)
  • Provide technical support to project teams

 Working Relationships:

The Design Engineer II will closely collaborate with team members from Customer Service, Product Management, Operations and Quality.


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or equivalent)
  • 5+ years overall experience in Sustaining Engineering and New Product Development in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years in New Product Development Design a plus
  • Technical communication (MSWord/MSPowerpoint)
  • Demonstrated mechanical design creativity and innovation
  • Advanced mechanical analysis (MSExcel/FEA)
  • Experience working with 3D CAD (Solidworks or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the various Metal trades (i.e. machining, casting, welding, brazing, soldering, fastening, assembly, fabrication)
  • Knowledge of Water Management Systems (plumbing/fluid control) a plus
