Since the 1930’s Symmons has been a company committed to providing solutions. Headquartered in Braintree, Masschusetts, we are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will work to modernize how Symmons manages its product line. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will help guide our overall product strategy & roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, industry trends, and business objectives.

     

    The ideal candidate will be passionate about the customer, utilize data to make decisions and looks for innovative solutions to solve problems.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and manage the Product Roadmap
    • Work with Sales and Engineering on new product development
    • Understand and communicate customer needs and industry trends that impact our product line
    • Develop positioning and messaging guidelines for our products
    • Develop and manage product launch campaigns
    • Run and analyze sales reports, make comparisons to industry/company benchmarks, determine trends, and prepare presentations on findings
    • Establish product pricing and oversee the process of communicating the pricing to internal and external stakeholders
    • Interact and work with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, Operations and Marketing teams daily
    • React quickly and positively to changes that need to be implemented in products
    • Other duties as assigned
    • 10% of travel required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing
    • 10+ years of product marketing experience (required)
    • CPG/physical product experience required
    • Familiarity with Digital Marketing required
    • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus
    • Launched products from inception to creation – provide examples upon request
    • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of senior management and work in a cross functionally environment
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to derive insights from data and communicate those insights to a diverse audience
    • Attention to detail, excellent written and oral communications, and the ability to communicate and persuade a diverse audience
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to established timeframes
    • Ability to balance short and long-term priorities
    • Self-directed and ability to operate independently as required
    • Entrepreneurial mindset
