Headquartered in Braintree, MA, Symmons is seeking a Showroom Account Manager who is responsible for driving profitable sales growth of Symmons products through wholesaler showrooms and other sales links in the wholesale distribution channel.

    Responsibilities

     

     

    • Provide training and materials for wholesaler showrooms on Symmons’ offerings and benefits
    • Able to identify and quantify market opportunities, prioritized relative to other potential opportunities
    • Work with other sales and Business Development associates to ensure all customers are served appropriately
    • Responsible for development of key relationships at the account level and at various customer levels in the wholesale channels of distribution
    • Understand the needs of target customers and work with team to translate those needs into technical product requirements
    • Handle all requests and calls regarding Showroom projects
    • Establish and implement Showroom Programs as well as manage SPIF programs
    • Identify Showroom opportunities throughout the region and inform manager on your findings
    • Coordinate display requests with Operations for any related Showroom projects and manage display inventories
    • Prepare weekly reports for the Sales Managers and Marketing
    • Collect and report quality issues to Sales and Marketing
    • Understanding of current and future slate of Symmons products, incentives and benefits
    • Facilitate installation of new showroom displays when required
    • Present at quarterly meetings with customers Executive teams

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, management, or related area required
    • 2+ years of territory sales experience in related industry preferred
    • High-level customer relationship building skills
    • Strong communication, relationship building and presentation skills are a must
    • Knowledge of wholesale segment of bath and kitchen industry preferred
    • Excellent Planning and analysis skills
    • Strong computer skills required; proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Outlook a must
    • Experience with data warehouse sales reporting systems (i.e. Cognos, Salesforce) will be considered a plus
    • Demonstrated selling skills required
    • Excellent high-level written and verbal communication skills required
    • 75%-85% travel within Region
    • Limited overnight travel
